3rd Annual 30 Day Photo Challenge ~ Day 13 ~ Macro

Macro is one of my favorite days in this challenge, because it's a type of picture that most people may not be used to taking. Using most digital cameras, macro settings are marked with the flower icon.  It is used to take extreme close up shots of things, gathering as many small details as possible.

When I chose the days and themes, I had no idea that today would fall when it has, on the day when I am hosting two guest posts by other writers approaching Father's Day without their Dads, as I am.

This is my Dad's class ring, and I will remain forever grateful that I have this piece of him to hang on to.
