30 Days of Truth, Day 23 ~ Something You Wish You Had Done

The first time I wrote about this one, I talked about all the opportunities I had back in college to travel, do semesters abroad, that I didn't take. I should have. I still wish I had done that.

This time, I was having a hard time coming up with something else. And then I decided to be totally honest.

This truth stuff...


Day 23 ~ Something you wish you had done

This isn't going to be a nice thing, and truth be told, I'm not proud of myself for feeling this way or for admitting it, but alas, here we are.

I wish that I would have lost my shit a few years ago when I discovered what I discovered, that I had let the people involved know just how angry I was, that I had taken it all out on them.

I didn't then, mostly because I was just in shock for a while, then because I was too busy being the only responsible adult in the situation, then because I refused to do anything to stoop down to their level.

If there was stooping to be done, it should have been done in the heat of the moment, the only time that I would have forgiven myself for it and the legal system would have agreed with me.

Even then, no stooping.

Goddamn high road.

Someday all this being a good person karma has to pay off, right?
